Welcome to the Animal Eye Challenge!

Description:

This challenge is an opportunity for you to master eyes and to develop a steady habit of painting. These lessons will provide the knowledge and techniques for you to conquer realistic animal eyes in watercolor! First, you will find lessons so you can practice. Then, you will be challenged to "take the leap and fly," to create your own eyes. Here is what you will see:

Step 1: Planning - Suggestions and a plan/timeline for getting started and completing your adventure, along with resources and links.

Step 2: Lessons - Lessons regarding the features of an eye, how to draw eyes, and a formula for painting eyes in watercolor.

Step 3: Video Tutorial: Practice Painting an eye with a step-by-step video tutorial on how to paint an eye.

Step 4: Learn to Fly! Finally, take the leap and fly! Use the formula and techniques you have learned to paint your own eyes in watercolor. Some photos and drawings will be supplied to get you started.

Introduce Yourself!

  1. Email me, Rebecca Rhodes ([email protected],) and introduce yourself! Tell me what you would like to get out of this challenge. I'm here to help, and would love to hear from you!
  2. I invite you to introduce yourself and let us know that you are taking part in the Animal Eye Challenge. We've got a wonderful community of members in our school. If you are nervous about asking questions and sharing your work, here are two ways to do it in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Visit our private Facebook group Realistic Animals in Watercolor and request to join. All enrolled members of the school will be accepted. CLICK HERE to go to the group.
  • If you prefer not to use Facebook, that's ok! Enroll in our free Community here in the school. It's a safe place to introduce yourself, ask questions, and share your paintings with the members of the school. CLICK HERE to go to the Community.
