LESSONS
This is a self-paced course. Take your time. Enjoy the process.
Day 1
We will paint a brown dog's eye and a green cat's eye, focusing on color mixing/layering and techniques.
Day 2
We will paint a dog and a cat nose! Learn to layer colors and manipulate values to create the impression of contour and curve.
Day 3
Painting Fur!
We will begin with simple techniques, then "fur recipes," for different color solutions.
Days 4, 5
We will Paint this Dog
Combine everything you have learned to paint this dog! I will guide you through every step of the process.

Take your time. It's ok if it doesn't work out. Allow yourself to learn. I believe you can do this!

I’m a watercolor artist and teacher in Pennsylvania, USA.
My goal is to empower, encourage, and equip – to help you learn to paint detailed, realistic animals in watercolor so you can use these techniques to develop your own unique style.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I enjoyed a fulfilling career as a public school Music Educator. I retired from teaching to focus on painting, and founded this watercolor school in 2017.
